Formulation Tips

AccessTHIX M68 is a hot-process emulsifier. Add it to your oil phase with oils, butters, and other oil-soluble ingredients, and heat to about 75°C (167°F) until fully melted and uniform.

Heat your water phase separately to the same temperature. With continuous mixing (preferably high shear), slowly combine the phases to form the emulsion. Mix for a few minutes, then reduce to moderate/low shear as it cools. Add heat-sensitive ingredients (e.g., preservatives, delicate extracts) during cool-down below 40°C (104°F).

Use 1–3% for lightweight lotions and 3–5% for richer creams. It is robust across a wide pH range (typically ~3–12) and is compatible with challenging actives like AHAs, herbal extracts, and sunscreen filters.
