As a zwitterionic (amphoteric) surfactant, it adapts with pH: in acidic systems it exhibits cationic character (for a soft, conditioned after-feel), while in neutral to mildly alkaline systems it behaves more like a non-ionic, enhancing mild cleansing and stabilizing foam.
It is especially effective in synergy with anionic surfactants (such as sulfates or sulfonates), where it increases foam, improves viscosity build, and helps reduce irritation potential—making the final product gentler on skin and scalp. Formulation Tips
AccessMINE LMO is a liquid that is easily dispersible in the water phase at room temperature—no heating required. For most shampoos and body washes, start at 2–5%. Use 1% for a subtle boost or go up to 10% for high-foam applications like bubble bath or to reinforce foam in sulfate-free systems.
For best results, add it to the water phase with your other surfactants and mix until uniform. It performs well across a broad pH range (approximately 5 to 9). In acidic systems, expect a slight conditioning effect; in neutral systems, anticipate maximum foam boosting and stability. Pairing with anionic surfactants enhances both mildness and performance.
