NovaGlow Ice BVR is a large-flake borosilicate glitter engineered for dramatic, stage-worthy impact. In application, the particles read as bold, electric blue with clear flashes of deep purple/violet, suspended on a transparent base that lets underlying shades show through. Over dark or saturated backgrounds, the effect intensifies into a galaxy-like field of cool-toned sparkle.
Formulating with Extra-Large Particle Sizes
With an ultra-broad particle size range of 100–5000 μm, NovaGlow Ice BVR behaves very differently from standard pearls or shimmer pigments. The flakes are intentionally irregular and chunky, creating a high-profile, reflective surface that catches light from multiple angles. For best results, suspend the glitter in viscous systems or high-structure bases that can immobilize the platelets and prevent settling, especially in liquid or gel formats.
In pressed formats, pair the glitter with robust binders and film formers to lock the flakes in place and minimize fallout. In liquids and gels, rheology modifiers and film formers help maintain even distribution while anchoring the particles to the skin, lips, or nail surface.
Optimizing Visual Impact Across Applications
Because the base is transparent, NovaGlow Ice BVR works exceptionally well as a topper. Layer over black, navy, or deep plum to amplify the cool blue and violet sparkle, or over mid-tone shades to create dimension without obscuring the base color. Thin layers deliver scattered, twinkling glitter; heavier loading produces dense, high-coverage glitter effects suitable for editorial, festival, and special-occasion looks.
