Glamour Party Green utilizes Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, a specialty glass flake, as its substrate. The exceptionally smooth, highly transparent surface of borosilicate glass maximizes reflectivity, producing a brighter, more intense sparkle than traditional mica-based pigments. With an extra-large particle size of 100–1000 μm, this pigment is purpose-built for bold, chunky glitter effects that create striking, dimensional textures in color cosmetics.
Technical Formulation Considerations
Due to the very large particle size, suspension management is critical in liquid and gel systems like nail lacquers and gels. Employ robust, yield-thixotropic rheology modifiers or higher-viscosity bases to minimize settling and ensure even distribution.
In pressed systems, pair with appropriate binders and pressing aids to secure the flakes while preserving their high-flash sparkle. In anhydrous gels and silicone-based mediums, the smooth borosilicate surface provides comfortable wear relative to traditional plastic glitter.
Regulatory and stability note: this color includes Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), which is known to be unstable in alkaline (high pH) environments. Avoid high-pH formulations to protect color integrity. This shade is not approved for lip use.
