How Antarctic-G Works
Antarctic-G leverages the survival mechanisms of two extremophilic microorganisms, Pseudoalteromonas sp. and Pseudozyma antarctica, which thrive in the harsh Antarctic environment. These organisms produce unique compounds to protect themselves from extreme cold and dehydration. Antarctic-G harnesses two of these key components for skincare:
- Glyceryl Glucoside: Stimulates Aquaporin-3 (AQP3), the water channels within skin cells. By boosting AQP3 expression, it enhances water transport from the dermis to the epidermis for deep, dynamic, and lasting hydration from the inside out.

For optimal results, add it to the water phase or during the cool-down stage below 40°C (104°F) to preserve the integrity of the bioactive ferments. It is stable within a typical cosmetic pH range of 4.0–7.0. Its non-ionic nature ensures excellent compatibility with most common cosmetic ingredients, including other actives, polymers, and emulsifiers.
