Performance & Formulation Insights for AccessCARE CoQ10
How Coenzyme Q10 Works
Coenzyme Q10 (Ubidecarenone) plays a dual role in skin vitality. As a key component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain, it supports ATP production, helping skin cells maintain optimal energy levels for repair, regeneration, and collagen synthesis. Simultaneously, CoQ10 is a potent lipid-soluble antioxidant residing in cellular membranes and skin lipids. It neutralizes free radicals generated by UV exposure and pollution, protecting collagen and elastin from oxidative degradation and helping prevent the visible signs of premature aging.
Formulation Guidelines
AccessCARE CoQ10 is a bright yellow-orange, oil-soluble crystalline powder. Add it to the oil phase and heat gently to 45–50 °C (113–122 °F) with stirring until fully dissolved before emulsification. Due to its natural color, it may impart a pale yellow hue to finished formulations—a visual cue that can be positioned as a product feature. CoQ10 is stable over a broad pH range (4.0–7.0) and is highly compatible with other oil-phase antioxidants. It pairs especially well with Vitamin E (Tocopherol), which can help regenerate CoQ10 after radical quenching, creating a synergistic antioxidant network.
