How AccessCARE Calm Works
AccessCARE Calm is a clinically tested, phyto-derived soothing active combining Abelmoschus esculentus (Okra) Fruit Extract, Cucumis sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, and Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract. This botanical blend is rich in polysaccharides, amino acids, fatty acids, and mucopolysaccharides — bioactives that work together to calm irritated skin, visibly reduce redness, and deliver deep moisturization. In a 28-day clinical study on 20 women aged 25–45, a 3% cream applied twice daily achieved a 22.45% reduction in redness and a 35.96% increase in skin moisturization.
Formulation Guidelines
AccessCARE Calm is a water-soluble liquid (in Butylene Glycol) suitable for incorporation into the water phase of soothing creams, recovery serums, moisturizers, after-sun products, and sensitive skin formulations. The recommended use level is 3%. Add during the cool-down stage at temperatures below 40°C (104°F) to preserve the polysaccharide and mucopolysaccharide content. It is compatible within a cosmetic pH range of 4.5–6.5 and pairs well with barrier-supporting actives such as ceramides, panthenol, centella-derived ingredients, and hyaluronic acid. Avoid combining with strong acids or highly astringent ingredients that may counteract the soothing benefits.
