How AccessCARE Blue Works
AccessCARE Blue is a clinically tested, phyto-derived active designed to protect skin from blue light (HEV) exposure and combat premature aging. It combines Clitoria ternatea (Butterfly Pea) Flower Extract, Garcinia mangostana (Mangosteen) Peel Extract, and Punica granatum (Pomegranate) Pericarp Extract — a synergistic blend rich in anthocyanins, mangostin, and ellagic acid. These potent antioxidant compounds help neutralize free radicals generated by digital screen exposure and environmental stressors, while providing clinically demonstrated anti-wrinkle benefits. The formulation also exhibits strong DPPH radical scavenging activity, supporting comprehensive oxidative stress defense.
Formulation Guidelines
AccessCARE Blue is a water-soluble liquid (in Butylene Glycol) suitable for incorporation into the water phase of serums, moisturizers, SPF products, and protective day creams. The recommended use level is 0.8–5%. Add during the cool-down stage at temperatures below 40°C (104°F) to preserve the integrity of the anthocyanin and polyphenol actives. It is compatible within a cosmetic pH range of 4.5–6.5 and pairs well with sunscreen boosters, vitamin C derivatives, and other antioxidant actives. Avoid combining with strong oxidizing agents. Note that the natural pigments from butterfly pea and mangosteen may impart a slight color to formulations.
